We are excited about the opening of our new school.   WSMS has creative spaces designed around the USD 230 Vision for Learning; to ensure high levels of learning for all students in the areas of academic preparation, employability skills, and social-emotional development so that all students graduate being college-ready, career-ready, and life-ready for a successful future.

Weekly Notes from Mr. Sprague - December 2
, 2019

This last week we had an awesome concert with our vocal music students. It was awesome to see the quality of the performance and the multiple languages that our students sang. They sang songs in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Latin. The amount of talent on display was amazing. Our girls basketball team is finishing their season in the next week. the regular season was completed on Thursday and now they are in post season play. We are so proud of our teams. They work very hard and are learning and growing every day.

This all brings me to another point. Our coaches, directors and sponsors for extra curricular activities do a fantastic job and I can’t say enough about their dedication, the hours extra that they put in to give our kids a great experience, and the care and love they show for their students. It takes a lot of work to teach students to sing in parts, learn songs in other languages, teach kids the fundamentals of a sport. Without these people, our students would not have the opportunities that they do have. So if you see them it always helps to express your gratitude and appreciation. They take on a lot of extra responsibility in addition to their already very important jobs.

As you can see, December is packed with activities and there is something for everyone. For more information about events coming this week please read our Weekly Stallion Update
