2019 WSMS Spelling Bee

Are you a good speller?  Is spelling your special talent?  Well, eighteen of our Woodland Spring students seem to have this special talent.  Those eighteen students competed today for the title of Champion Speller in our Woodland Spring Middle School Spelling Bee.  After six rounds, Grace Oppeau claimed the title of Champion Speller.  Grace will represent WSMS in the Johnson County Spelling Bee on January 22, 2020.  In the event that Gracie can not attend, the runner-up, Sophie Rivers, will take her place.  The other outstanding spellers that completed today in the WSMS Spelling Bee were Dylan Estes, Halana Charity, Macey Chaulk, Daniel Heinen, Leila Haddad, Dihya Aggur, Isaac Barlow, Reece Branner, Alexandro Garcia, Jack Janovick, Gage Wingerter, Peyton Dent, Hunter Van Fleet, Madelyn O’Bryan, Lexy Francis, and Victoria Gulbrandson.  We are very proud of each of these students and wish Gracie the best of luck in the Johnson County Spelling Bee.
